Sorry to be behind on my 12 Days of Christmas Projects. Here is the project for week 10. It is a bookmark that would make a nice small gift for a friend.

Here are the materials and instructions:

Stamp your image after coloring it with old olive marker for the leaves and black marker for the bird (I used Asian Artistry, a Hostess stamp set) onto a 1 3/4" x 3 1/4" cardstock - I colored the bird with a summer sun marker

attach with snail to a 1 7/8" x 3 3/8" piece of black cardstock

attach black cardstock to the actual bookmark - a 2" x 7" piece of old olive cardstock folded in half

Cut a piece of flat magnet 1 3/4" x 3/4" (you can get this at a craft store) Put the magnets together. Put snail on the outside of one - glue it to the bottom of the bookmark - put snail on the top piece - close bookmark. Rub to make sure snail adheres on both sides. Putting the magnet on this way will assure that the magnets meet properly.

Hugs,
Linda :)

Here are the cards for my CHRISTMAS STAMPING BUFFET this Wednesday in my Stamp Room. You can't tell by the photos, but they include shimmer paint, embossing, glitter, big shot texture plate, chalks, markers, and build-a-brads, punches. This class has many techniques for you to do (or learn) and you will leave with 20 beautiful cards to give for those special people in your life before the Christmas mail rush.
Thank you for your patience since I had to cancel at the last minute due to my grandaughter contracting swine flu. All of us in the Miller house would like to thank you for your prayers and well wishes. Alyssa has returned to school.

I apologize that this post with the photos is so late in the day. As I was getting ready to take photos of the cards, my husband called and needed to be picked up as he had been out of town on business. He came home a day early which threw my well-intended plans off.

The class includes:
20 cards, 5 designs of which you will make 4 cards each with envelopes
Date: Wednesday, Nov. 2nd
Time: 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Lunch (homemade soup and sandwich) will be from 12:00PM to 12:30PM.
Class Fee: $30.
Please RSVP by Monday, Nov. 2nd if you will be attending. There is no need to RSVP if you have already contacted me that you will be coming. Directions upon request.

Put crystal effects onto a piece of wax paper making icicles, then add glitter. They will take an hr. or so to dry. Peel them off and attach to card.Stamp packages and color in. Score the bottom of each piece at ¾”(this will make is stand up and take the curve out). The line on the trimmer does not go all the way down, so just eyeball it.

Cut corner slits only on other basket piece
Put sticky strip on slit tabs only.

Adhere bottom first, then small slit tabs butting them against the inside wall, adhere sides last.
Sponge box with Bermuda Bay Ink.

Fold ribbon from each side to the center, adhere with glue dots. Glue dot ribbon to center of basket. Cut out penguin. Snail or use dimensionals to attach penguin to Bermuda Bay Scallop Square.
